Northeast Maglev | Baltimore, MD

Responsibilities:

  • Developed and implemented complete marketing strategies for a $16 billion transportation infrastructure project.

  • Managed and developed a team of five creative professionals, four interns, and multiple externally contracted teams.

  • Oversaw development of and managed websites, digital/social media presence, print media, email campaigns, and all marketing collateral.

  • Monitored marketing analytics and adjusted campaign initiatives accordingly.

  • Implemented and managed CRM and digital advocacy systems.

  • Oversaw outreach efforts and built a coalition of supportive organizations.

  • Managed public and media-related events, tradeshows, and presentations. 

  • Provided art direction for advertising and print collateral.

  • Developed marketing messaging, presentations, and company talking points.

Contribution Highlights:

  • Oversaw the creation of, managed, and optimized a large-scale digital advocacy campaign, resulting in nearly 60,000 petition signers and over 110,000 supportive emails to federal, state, and local legislators.

  • Developed a framework for a project sustainability policy and proposed a large-scale marketing effort centered around the policy and its creation.

  • Managed implementation of marketing infrastructure (including a new WordPress website, adoption of a CRM, email marketing platform, social channels, digital advertising, analytics, and digital advocacy platform).

  • Led the development of a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan for the project, as well as managed a significant media announcement event with state legislators and high-profile stakeholders to introduce the plan.

  • Conceptualized and managed the creation of an integrated advertising campaign based on a series of video testimonials.

  • Drove rebranding efforts, changing from "TNEM" to the more recognizable "Northeast Maglev"

  • Managed contracted regional public polling efforts and developed marketing material and campaigns based on the results.

  • Oversaw the creation of, managed, and presented educational seminars to introduce STEM principles to audiences ranging from school-aged children to trade and engineering conferences.

  • Initiated a departmental employee development program, encouraging skills development and providing mentorship.

  • Built and implemented a custom departmental task-tracking system with Microsoft Planner and Teams.

  • Developed ‘Marylanders for Maglev’, an online community of supporters of the Northeast Maglev project.

  • Worked with international partners to develop a scholastic ambassador program providing college students an opportunity to study a subject in Japan and relate the experience to peers on domestic campuses.

  • Acted as a liaison between clients and the company. Provided system training and problem-solving, encouraging adoption and best practice use of systems to ensure clients realized return on investment.

  • Created and managed websites, digital (SEM)/social media presence, print media, email campaigns, and all marketing collateral.

  • Conceptualized and managed the successful bid to win the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce 2017 Innovative Small Business of the Year award.

  • Conceptualized and managed a grand opening event and charity car show to raise money for local charities and increase local awareness of the business. The event was attended by hundreds and included car clubs, race teams, local fire and rescue equipment, heavy machinery demonstrations, kids activities, local vendors, and exotic car displays.

  • Oversaw the successful compilation of efficacy data submissions for USDA licensing and marketing for biological diagnostics used to detect infectious diseases.

Implemented a digital marketing pipeline consisting of targeted digital ads on Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) networks, email marketing, and digital advocacy. Generated hundreds of millions of ad impressions and reached a goal of 60,000 leads.

Developed Quarterly, Yearly, and Multi-Year Marketing strategies for a startup company in Ashburn, VA.
